Custom walnut boardroom table with an inset leather writing surface and integrated power in a law library

Boardrooms, bars & casework

Commercial work that opens on schedule

Commercial projects are judged on two things: whether the work is beautiful, and whether it landed on the date you were given. We treat the second as seriously as the first.

Commercial and hospitality work carries constraints residential work does not — fixed opening dates, contract documents, coordination with three other trades, and finishes that have to survive commercial traffic rather than domestic use.

We build to spec and to schedule. That means shop drawings issued for approval, samples submitted before fabrication, and a delivery date we commit to in writing. The boardroom table for Jacobs & Jacobs Law was built to a stated budget and a stated date, which is precisely why they wrote about it afterwards.

Materials are specified for the setting: commercially rated finishes, hardware chosen for cycle count rather than showroom feel, and detailing that allows a damaged component to be replaced without dismantling the whole assembly.

Materials we work in

  • Walnut
  • White ash
  • Rift white oak
  • Blackened steel
  • Leather inlay

Commercial & Hospitality

Madera Furniture Company created a GORGEOUS Boardroom table for our office! The folks at Madera were able to work within our budget to create a beautiful, quality table that is sturdy yet elegant, and with the exact style and features we desired. We truly appreciate Carlos and the entire Madera team for going above and beyond! We highly recommend Madera Furniture Company, and we look forward to working with them again in the future!

Carlos and Madera are exceptional in their work product and client services. They were part of the team truly transforming the first floor of my home into a piece of beautiful and liveable art. They were also part of the team creating a spectacular work environment in my office. Carlos is creative and very nice; his work is of the highest quality and within the established budget. He was prompt in responding to questions and always accessible. I recommend him without reservation, and actually encourage you to talk with him about any decorative needs you have!

Common questions

Before you commission

Routinely. We read contract documents, issue shop drawings for approval, submit samples ahead of fabrication, and coordinate with the other trades on site. See our trade page for how we work with design professionals.

Yes, and we will tell you honestly at the estimate stage if a date is not achievable rather than discovering it in week ten. Our commercial clients keep returning largely because the schedule is treated as part of the deliverable.

Boardroom and conference tables, reception desks, restaurant and tasting-room casework, banquette seating, bar millwork, retail fixtures and office built-ins. Both new fit-outs and refits of existing spaces.

They are specified for the setting. A tasting-room bar takes a very different finish schedule from a private boardroom, and we specify for cycle count and cleaning regime, not for how the sample looks in the showroom.
